Z had to be something exciting and fun so I thought Ziplining would be a
great way to end my A-Z Adventures. Mike and I set off with son Liam and his
girlfriend Kali who were both keen to join our thrilling adventure and come
on the two and a half hour drive to our destination 140km south west of
Melbourne. We took in the panoramic views of the Great Ocean Road on our way
to the Live Wire Park in Lorne and were excited to be harnessed up and
whizzed around the 525m long, high intensity track metres above the ground
with our feet dangling aimlessly below.|
This was an adrenaline filled adventure and one made all the more special having those I love experience it with me. We checked in and climbed to the top of the stairs where the engaging staff waited for us to arrive. We all took turns then marvelled at the fun we’d had as our bodies swung and sped down and around the coiled track, between the trees and towards the others waiting below.
Not only did the park have a Zipline but numerous other climbing adventures including the Super Circuit which features 53 mid-air trails, suspended bridges, tree-scaling activities, tarzan swing and a supercharged 10m quickjump bungee which Liam and Kali scampered through and put their strong agile bodies to the test.
For me the pinnacle was the Ziplining as it marked the momentus conclusion of my 2019 A-Z Adventures and what better way to do it than on a bright sunny day, coupled with a drive along the Great Ocean Road and with the love and support of those who joined me on the day!
